“ Great North Indian & South Indian Food! Must-try dishes: Paneer Afghani Bhurji — absolutely delicious and flavorful. South Indian items were also very good, fresh, and authentic. Nice ambience and overall a great experience. Highly recommend! ”
“ We always have enjoyed Sankalp food - but this review is for their catering for our wedding. First, they had the most impressive tasting experience of all. They gave use as many options to try as we needed and also gave us a discount on our catering order equal to the price of the tasting. We ordered the butter chicken, saag chicken, diwani handi, dal bukhara, paneer and gulab jamun and our guests who were both Indian and american loved all of it. We got great reviews for everything. Most importantly, dealing with the owner/manager Parth Patel was such a breeze - he was extremely kind with his tips and insights, very flexible with our needs and made us feel like we were in good hands (which can be a huge thing for a high stakes event like a wedding!). Very highly recommend Sankalp! ”
“ Absolutely loved the experience here! The staff were extremely polite and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The service was top-notch. everything was timely and smooth. The place is very clean with a lovely ambience that adds to the overall dining experience. Most importantly, the menu is impressive with a wide variety of options, and the food was incredibly tasty. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food and a great atmosphere! ”
“ My husband and I went here for lunch and tried the Veg Croquettes, Crispy Corn, Garlic Naan, Kaju Curry, Orange Mojito, and Rasmalai. The Crispy Corn were dense and stuck to the teeth, but the manager was very accommodating and removed it from the bill, which was a great gesture. The Veg Croquettes had a nice cheesy filling, but the outer vermicelli coating didn’t work for us. On the brighter side, the Garlic Naan was absolutely amazing — soft, flaky, and flavorful. The Kaju Masala was creamy, mildly sweet, and packed with cashews — a definite highlight. The Orange Mojito was refreshing and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the Rasmalai was a disappointment, lacking sponginess and flavor. The ambience was neat, classy, and comfortable. The overall bill came to around $56 (including tip), which felt a bit on the expensive side. Despite a few misses, we will definitely give this place another chance. ”
“ Sankalp is a hidden gem of Indian cuisine. I wish it was closer to Downtown Pittsburgh. We got Hyderabadi Goat Dum Biriyani, Pav Bhaji, Chicken Schezuan Noodles, Kozhi Sukha (Chicken appetiser), and Bhuna Lamb. The food was delicious, and extremely authentic. Highly recommend! The staff was really nice, and I highly recommend asking them for recommendations as their large menu of offering maybe overwhelming. ”
